Are you using your Quick Access Toolbar in your 2007 Microsoft Office applications? It’s one of the best tools to help you work much faster. Open Word or any other subject and look at the small toolbar beside the Microsoft Office Button. You can easily add your shortcuts to the this Toolbar so you won’t have to go to the other tabs as much to find items.

 

First, click on the down arrow at the end of the toolbar and click on some of the commonly used items to put them onto the toolbar. Then right click on any icon on any of your ribbons. That’s right, any icon you use on a ribbon, you can right click and then click on Add to Quick Access Toolbar.

 

You can rearrange them by clicking on the down arrow at the end of the toolbar, then on More Commands. Your toolbar is illustrated in the white box on the right side. Click on any icon to highlight it  then use the arrows on the far right to move it up or down to arrange them in your preferred order.

 

Each toolbar is "application specific", meaning your Word shortcuts will only appear in Word. They won't show on your Excel Quick Access Toolbar.

 

Accumulate as many as you like on your Quick Access Toolbar. Once you do you will have all your shortcuts handy and you will travel less looking for items. You will love this toolbar!
